Economy priced this thing out for a lot of people too

Remember 3DS started slow, did a whole price drop thing and ended up being very successful

S2 needs a new Mario and Zelda, a half decent Pokemon and it's doing fine...Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem.. Xenoblade... All of a sudden you have a library

It'll end up "flopping" and becoming one of the highest selling platforms ever I guess...

Seeing Nintendo scale their first party games into a 4K world is interesting

I wonder if they'll get momentum quickly, because customers are going to want voice acting, great textures and all of that in these games, if they plan to charge 90 dollars a pop

I also think outside of Zelda Nintendo making all Their games open world is kind of showing growing pains.

It literally got a GOTY candidate in Donkey Kong.

The primary reason the sales slowed down is that it was the fastest selling console ever out of the gate. People that wanted it were able to get it upfront so the sales weren't bottlenecked.

Switch 2 Holiday flopped with kids because they have fixed their YouTube app or released a new 3D Mario.

Flopped with adults because they don’t have movie streaming apps on it, no major Multiplayer FPS nor updated some of their best Switch 1 games like Astral Chain.

My son mostly used his Switch 1 to watch YouTube while playing games on his iPad. Nintendo really needs to study what type of games are all the rage with kids in Apple app store. I thought that was part of the purpose of their mobile apps division…..

Hopefully this year they will have fixed YouTube and that damn Call of Duty for Switch finally launches.

I have a Switch, but rarely play it compared to the X and PS5.

It's fun to play if I'm waiting somewhere or flying out of town.

If we could play GoY, Cyberpunk etc., (i.e., "grown up games") with comparable graphics/performance to the current systems, it would sell like hot cakes. Even if it's first party Nintendo shyt but AAA quality games besides the usual cartoon Mario/Zelda ish.

They have a brand like Apple, so it's going to sell regardless, but they have settled for being everyone's #2 console. Gamers get a PC/Xbox/PS5 as #1 and then back it up with a Switch. Smart positioning? Yes. I love the portable aspect of it. Just wished they aimed a bit higher.
