I really don’t think that there is a rapper that had a bigger buzz than 50 after he came out

Other than Gucci, 50 and Wayne

Funny thing is Pac was much more technically skilled than people give him credit for.Defined an era? nikka had one cd
The king has spoken
The comparison is somewhat valid if we are talking about 50s mainstream offering. Plus they are clearly talking about penmenship. If 50 was from the midwest nikkas would act like couldnt rap for shyt. These are just the facts. But since hes from NY it was "oh my god this shyt hard"
And what more proof do i need than the way these new york nikkas talk about Pacs lyrics. "He was aight, but kinda basic"
Aint no way in hell you dont think 50 garbage if you think Pac is "basic". So yes "if he was from the midwest he would be Nelly" Is a comparison i didnt know we needed.

He used as many multi-syllabic rhymes as Biggie despite Biggie being seen as the more skilled rapper. And I noticed people don't shyt on Cube, Scarface, DMX or KRS One as much for not being overly technical or complex in the lyrics department so you know it's just Pac hate half the time.
And Pac had a variety of flows too. Young Black Male was basically Pac doing a pseudo triplet flow before Bone Thugs and Three 6 Mafia even blew up.
PhonZhi made a whole thread here highlighting Pac's rhymes years ago but I think it got bushed.
50 doesn't compare to Pac as a rapper at all except in marketing. 50 couldn't even hold a candle to Banks as a straight rapper. But his mic presence and ability to craft songs in his prime was good enough to make people overlook that.
I'm still not certain about comparing 50 to Nelly all the way though because Nelly doesn't have the mixtape catalog or a project like POTD to compare. 50 and Ja Rule were on the same level as rappers though. Hell, Ja probably more so cause his disses were colder than Wanksta and he held his own with Jay and DMX in their primes.
