If I didn't know better, I would think you guys were struggling to name an Atlanta artist making better music than Kendrick Lamar

I bought Kendrick's album but honestly it's not touching my favorite T.I. albums... but to each his own...

Kendrick > Tip, Future and the rest of Atlanta in terms of the combination of skills and success.

Using TI's logic, Kendrick is the King Of Atlanta
Wrong! Future has had multiple better selling singles and TI was doing 600k the first week at one point. It's ok to like lil Kenny but don't lie on his success. TI been in this since 01 and is still semi relevant, don't play ya self.

It's also not touching a lot people's favorite Jay-Z or Nas albums so what objective criteria are we using here

He said nobody in NYC is getting more play than K. Dot...which might be true...but if we're using who's getting play as a criteria than Drake is the King Of Everywhere, Atlanta included.....

He also implied that skill is the criteria...if that's the case he may be the King Of New York...but he also might be the King Of Atlanta too because who out there is making a GKMC-level project?

Or maybe he saying it has to be a mix of both...well, same thing applies. If he can be called the King of one city he wasn't born in based on that criteria than why not another? Unless you can name someone from Atlanta who better fits the criteria than Kendrick, than crown him.

My whole stance in this thread is rhetorical because I doubt Tip would be fine with that level of disrespect to his city, and that's ultimately what this is about...

Maybe they're more popular, but so is Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj

So what's the criteria?

Thread doesn't seem to be going anywhere so I might just bounce....

Cuz Kendrick knows NY is soft & no one who matters there responded thus proving his point. T.I. would've never let ANYONE slide saying they're the King Of Atlanta & not even be from the state of Georgia but NY artists are p*ssy right now... Kendrick knew what he was doing... :youngsabo:
