Don’t know how much you have to work with but for my situation I usually take out $20 each morning before I head to work, spend less than half that day for lunch and then when I get home, I put the rest (which is usually between $10-$15) into a plastic bag in a shoe box. Last year I did this for a whole year and was able to save $2400 (just putting away 1’s, 5’s and 10’s all year)..Cashed it out on January 1st and was in the bank, white people looking at me like im a dope dealer, bags full of 1’s and 5’s….threw it all into my savings..

Just started again this month and already have over $300 saved

and plan to have over $3k this year's end..

just put away anything you can each day, instead of using your debit card, take out the cash for the day and store the change at the end of the day. Bottom line, this takes discipline and I don't care if you make $7 an hour, you can always put up SOMETHING...fix your mind on saving and after awhile it becomes second nature..

if you're spending money on lunch at work every day, you already blowing money fast. even back when I worked in an office I brought my lunch from home 90% of the time. if you're spending $7 a day on lunch at work, thats damn near $150 a month just on some bullshyt.

buy some cold cuts or bring dinner leftovers and quit tricking.

Wherever whores go.....
The most important thing is see where your money is going. You would be surprised how much money you are "throwing away" on lunch, snacks, drinks.

I used to spend hundreds on coffee each month and it seemed fine because I was making so much. But when you start making less you start to notice why don't I have as much money.

Get a budgeting app or write down on your calendar where and what you spent money on.

Next step is putting aside a separate account for a percentage. I'm lucky enough to able to split 25% to another account. It goes to a another account that I don't even look at.

Lessen your monthly expenses and start saving your money and you'll be on your way to financial independence.

yup i get you, but what you don't understand is im obsessed with saving money..i take out money just to save it...it's an addiction real talk..lol even my women at the house have a job, u find any change laying around, throw it in the money jar and if you got any singles, throw em in the money box..we all get in on it and at the end of the year we treat ourselves with either a vacation or gifts...I make enough $ where I have atleast $300 extra a paycheck that is for whatever and thats after I've put my $100-$200 into my savings bank account...

saving to me is just a hobby..

Yes and no.

If you with a woman who is about her shyt then its a partnership. My girl and I alternate if we go out to eat. But we are cooking more now so thats even more savings because she's putting in bread on groceries.
This. Two frugal minded people working together is awesome. Your spouse/significant other should be on deck.

No eating out (no matter how cheap)

Take a set amount of money out EACH week after bills and either lock it away where its not easily accessible or give it to someone you trust for saving

Clip coupons (they really do add up)

I could go on for days. I'm BOSS at being cheap.

whatever u do, never EVER EVER EVER in your life hand over your money to another human being to keep. that's what banks are for.
