Yo everything in this thread is everything I say to this 1 jayz fan I know lol y'all ever notice the only people that big up jayz are people from new York and all industry people (budden, breakfast club, hot 97,rap radar, etc) I rarely hear somebody in real life have jayz in their top 10. If they do they either A. Became a fan after Beyonce or B.only know the hit songs like hard knock life, run this town, song wit Alicia (which was his first #1 )

It wasn't that great. At the time when it dropped and I was a kid it was wild though. Just because I LOVED Mobb Deep and Nas and never heard any real rap battle like this before. But looking back Mobb Deep had some of their biggest hits ever afterwards and Nas dropped Stillmatic. Plus this New Drink Champs interview with MC Serch shows Jay was just making up stuff:

I WONDER WHY THIS CLIP DOESN'T GET SHARED MORE :troll:

What's weak about it? He only talked facts

Nas did fall off- before Stillmatic everyone saw him as a guy who started strong with the first 2 albums then was on a steady decline after

His Oochie Wally verse was trash

Nas was a fantasy thug rapper

MC Serch was up in Nas publishing

"keep talking and I'll tell everyone how I had sex with your bm while you were still with her"

All Nas could say was Jay Z has big lips (what's wrong with that Nas:mjpls:) and Jay wanted Nas on some songs
You must of missed the part where nas's baby mama was like jayz was obsessed wit Nas and only talked about him, she said it was weird lol

Never heard somebody say "yo turn that jayz on" or "yo you heard that new jigga ?" Its not a new York bias thing either, I've heard ppl say cut on DMX, Busta,50 cent Cam'ron,Jim Jones,Wu Tang, tribe, even Nas. I lived overseas too, 50 cent wayyyyy more popular than jayz

thread is pure delusion

to this day we use the template of those disses in conversations

"oh I get it you're biggie and he's puffy"

"Queens dudes run y'all, ask Russell Simmons"......

he took, flipped, and beat jay z over the head with his own line "I WILL NOT LOSE"

:mjlol:

Nobody says this in real life or even online

But what people do actually quote is

“Fell from top 10 to not mentioned at all”

“Is it oochie Wally Wally or is it one mic” gets said damn near weekly on here

“We don’t believe you, you need more people”

Absolutely nothing from Ether was a quotable, people only quote the title of the song itself

:unimpressed:

Nas literally turned a character from a song into a diss when he called Jay a Stan. Without that the word Stan just remains a character in an Em song. That word is said by everyone now. Hip hop forums starting using it, it then took off on Twitter and now it's everywhere.

Poor Jay. The first person ever to be called a Stan and now that word global
