I have a youtube vid coming out about my experience with this film. It started with Joe Clair, and then the Source issue with the Dogg Pound on the cover(I still have it) saw the trailer on a thursday night, bought the soundtrack (twice) and the movie on the friday in June of 95. Still to this day it's my favorite film ever. Other movies are better than this, but I just love this film to no end. I've purchased it on every format possible except laser disk. Vhs, dvd, bluray and the 4k if it ever comes out. Bad reviews fukked this movie over because white folks didn't like a black man killing white police officers in film.

Maaaaan, saw it the first day it came out with the cousins. Second day even pops had to come check it out if the strength of us hyping it up.
One of the greatest movie experiences ever. That Spice 1/Crazy K montage, you could hear a pin drop in that theater, nobody was talking, nobody said shyt.
The movie, soundtrack, everything surrounding it at the time. One of my all time favorites.
What ever happened to Rusty Cundieff?? I know he did the last reboots but he disappeared after Fear Of A Black Hat and Tales. He could have turned that into a franchise back then, but he kinda disappeared for a minute.
The 3rd one was okay as it redeemed itself from the shytty 2nd one
. It helps that Candyman was the man antagonist and the main story had layers.Yes, nothing is coming close to the first GOAT horror movie

All I remember about 2 was the main dude being called "Dumass" and Keith David trying his hardest to save the shytty movie.

After tales, he did Sprung with Joe Torey, Paula Jai White, and Tisha Campbell. I went to see that at the theater off the strength of Tales, but I didn't like it. I Love this film, if you're black how can you not love a film where cops & the kkk(redundant) get their comeuppance
I liked the story but that shyt wasnt edgy enough for me. Hard Core Convert was something else though
that OG movie was brilliant with an ending that scared the shyt outta me..soundtrack was classic
its a shame for the sequels didnt come close to that

Movie is Great!You better believe the ending is absolute PIFF!!They got 'the shyt' they came there for alright...
Krazy K's boys came for they asses and they ain't even know.
. And it was nice seeing Lynn Whitfield and Tony Todd
I know you made this post back in 2016 but nah, no way could they rekindle the vibe of the OG. One of those things that nobody should try to recreate.
