Talk about working fast. Tyler Perry filmed 19 episodes of his new show “Bruh” in only four days

Speaking of stage plays, I watched that Assisted Living show on BET the other day and it literally sounded and portrayed itself as a stage play. Especially the scene with J. Anthony Brown and his son that went on for 10+ minutes :mjlol:
Man I tried giving that shyt a shot and I was just :dwillhuh::gucci:how terrible that shyt was. They were in that damn living room/stage the entire episode.

So this means no time for reshoots right? Might be a reason why the acting his stuff is daytime soapp opera, sometimes worse, level. This is also why that last movie has all those continuity issues with wigs and the like.

It's really an insult to his audience expectations.
Yeah they don’t even shoot full episodes together. They shoot parts of episodes based on scene location lol. That’s definitely going to cause continuity issues. Also how the actors even into their role really shooting like that,

So I guess the black crew has to take an L since their being paid by the hour/ day and not by the episode.

He can't get credit for hiring black people where he does this.

He's probably still taking people's writing credits too.

Bruh, how does that crew even work?!? are they switching crews out after 12 hours or so? Shyt is wild.

The REAL lesson I take here is that literally almost ANY of us can actually do what Tyler has done if we were willing to put in the effort

Not true... you started off by saying people are in their feelings about Tyler and then marginalized his accomplishments by saying anyone could have done what he’s done so far

Tyler cater to his audience and obviously his audience loves it and is good with the quantity over quality aspect of it. There are other black producers and writers that have shows and movies for high quality production since his product isn't for you.
Bullshyt

The last thing of his that I saw was a clip from one of her soap operas where a son forces his mother to watch him fukk another man. The storyline locked atrocious and the acting was just as bad. You can make something authentically Black without it being utter garbage. He actually put effort into his earlier films but I guess he decided he didn’t care when his movies got panned anyway. He only cares about making as much money as possible.

Well the show is going to suck but he figures that he will make some money since some people watch it anyway. Also shooting in four days during Covid means that you have the most production and you don’t have to stop production for him on getting sick.

Good business it is what it is. Also just because a show spends time does not mean it won’t be terrible.

Just reading through the thread

:mjtf: at the vitriol for a black man that single-handedly put on at least dozens of struggling black actors.

Who cares if every movie isn't Training Day quality?

He found a market and he serves it well.

Damn it's hard to build as a black person. I bet if a brother or sister had come up with McDonald's a lot of y'all would be like :hubie:
"I only eat at Five Guys".

But some crackers made it so nikkas jumping around :krs: "ba dum ba ba ba!"

Idc how bad it is. Something being good or bad is subjective to taste. You don’t go from being poor to a billionaire by not doing something right. He’s black excellence. He has put so many black people on and will continue to do so. :yeshrug:

Just keep the stereotype shyt to a minimum.
