He believes those occurrences are few and far between and that those officers should be punished.
His main gripe is the broad brush people are using when discussing police reform.
Can he say the same about black people. Most black people are looked at as thugs, druggies, lazy, entitled etc....

Or does society paint a broad brush of black people. A police officer can take off their uniform and change careers, a black person cant stop being black.

Facts.
He makes a classism argument in regards to profiling... and downplays the racist element.

Ima let him read this thread and try to get him to register or at least come on the podcast once... I doubt he will for obvious reasons, but :mjgrin:we'll see.
I've mentioned the republicans need to die in an unpleasant fashion sentiment thats sprinkled across HL so he will probably want to stay clear.

No ones asking for a quota... just a tolerance. What is the basis for the belief that 2-3 or even 4-5 deaths a day is bad?
How do we know these numbers dont reflect a good job?

A couple things.

  1. Semantics. Asking for a "tolerance" is no different from asking for a "quota", if you're defining "tolerance" as an acceptable number of deaths.

  2. It's also not the point. The point is not to find some weird "acceptable level" of deaths, it's to reduce death (especially deaths caused by police misconduct) as much as possible.

To put it a different way, let's look at the construction industry, for example.

Just because construction accidents are inevitable doesn't mean that there's an "acceptable level" of workplace accidents. The goal is to try to avoid accidents as much as possible. There doesn't have to be a bottom-line "tolerance" to have reduced accidents as a goal.
Does that make sense?

Once again this is why I say: Dead7 is the Donald Trump of Higher Learning. He was made a mod because no one took it seriously even though many people warned ya'll about his idiocy and then it took a bit for the rest of you to realize how woefully inept he was when it came to being a mod.

Yes.
I think the general idea is that police(in america) are not trying to do so, and/or are not doing a good job of doing so, and the question is based on what?

Y'all have legitimized this dude as much as you have legitimized Nap over the past few years

The difference is that there is evidence that there is some Russia fukkery afoot with Trump and his people, and Nap is just a nut about it. He can be annoying. No doubt.

This one though? He has a Hall of Fame banner on this name forever.

Now like Trump he shytposts about things he is clueless about, or carries water for White Supremacists.
I might I have to review this incident again. :ohhh:
