That's not feasible for a lot part of the country especially those that live in small towns and rural areas along with the elderly.

Walmart is still the main option for a lot of those people.
Yeah if anything Target is losing business to more budget friendly options like Walmart....Target is a higher end store

It's like the difference between Publix and Kroger

That concept is cool and all, but some of these industries didn't have a choice but to bend the knee if you're depending on government funds or deal with government contracts.

Besides it's more than just the DEI thing that's hurting Target's pockets as consumers are pulling back everywhere.

Fucc Target and everyone that love em. Been in there twice this year, versus going in weekly last year. They've made their bed.

It’s been especially great for people who don’t know how to select fresh items or want to go through the trouble. The Amazon grocer does that for them.

Fresh produce is where stores get the most complaints about food delivering/ordering groceries.

You buy a bag of lettuce and the mfs grabs the first bag whether it's brown or not. You order tomatoes, you get 2 that are bruised/damaged/soft. You order bananas you get brown bananas that are only good for banana bread.

No one complains about a bag of doritos or a box of cereal, or a 12 pack of coke, or bag of paper towels and toilet paper, or laundry soap and shyt. Well not en masse. It is quite possible to get a box of cereal that is expired, or chips that are stale. But that's not often.

People get fukked up fruits and vegetables daily because the shyt expires daily.

No it was a good strategic idea from a business standpoint. They took a gamble that repercussions from a hostile federal administration would be worse for a company that engages in a lot of interstate commerce, than a temporary loss of sales from the liberal contingent.

We have seen what Trump has done to those universities and the law firms. And arguably he could strangle the entire companny, if Target decided to spearhead a resistance.

As we speak Costco is engaged in costly litigation in 19 states for doing exactly that. And the federal DOJ is looking for anything to trip them up also.

The timing was the issue. They threw all those initiatives in the bushes before being pressed by Trump so it came across as if they didn’t care and it was all for show.

I don't look at it as a Trump thing
Target differentiated themselves from Wal-Mart by saying they were upscale.
Well we are in an economic downturn.
The upscale positioning does not work in this market, we can ignore alienating right wing and leeft wing shoppers, you can't sell higher than your competitors on premium strategy when you sell the same thing as Amazon and Wal-Mart.

They have to undergo a serious discussion internally on their branding strategy.

Honestly, I’ve been ordering for over a year and no complaints from me.

I’m not going to get the absolute best choice in the store like I would if I went myself, but the hours and convenience saved is crazy. More time to research stocks/the market and to study. I just put the order in and that’s that.

Redo the usual orders in a matter of clicks. Hours saved every week, easy to track spending, etc. If I ever get a bad batch of a $5 produce, that’s fine I’ll order another one. That’s not much of an inconvenience compared to the overall convenience and a great trade off.

It can be both and pretty much is. They had and continue to struggle based on how they positioned themselves and they alienated key consumers.

i don't think either of those boycotts had any real sustained effect.
I mean ever Bud Light while not the number 1 selling beer has regained sales.

Likely a combination. Amazingly stupid to alienate your primary demographic though. Middle class liberals.
100% this.

White women are the biggest demographic in America AND the biggest beneficiary of DEI.

The trashy, soda with ketchup & sketti white women still go to Walmart like they always have.

The middle class/upper middle class white women with college degrees, Lexus RX 350's and nice yoga pants (at least in Dallas), shop at Target. They probably doing more Trader Joe's and Costco shopping now.

Then sistas and brehs tend to stay on code anyway. The types of Blacks that regularly shop at Target, are the ones to boycott. The nikkas that hit up Walmart will keep hitting on Walmart.
