Well than that's slightly different then not voting at all.

I still disagree with that approach because the stakes are too high. But I understand the frustration.

At the end of the day money is the currency of power. Voting alone doesn't work. These politicians respond to financial influence.

This is a game we still don't collectively know how to play in 2018.

That's what I don't get about the "I'm not voting" crowd. Not voting isn't going to influence politicians. It's just going to push them further to the right.

In order to drive change you have to have influence and that comes with lobbies and financial leverage. There's a reason why things happen for Jews and Asians. They have organizations (and governments) behind the scenes that are making sure they are taken care of.

We have to put ourselves in a position where we have influence and leverage if we want to make things happen. In the meantime, I'll vote for the best candidate with the issues currently on the political table and will disregard emotional talking points, like what's been done for gays and illegal immigrants.

Imagine thinking that neo-liberal is as bad for black people as a fascist.
I’m sure my post simply flew over your simplistic brain. Go back and do some research and rejoin the convo when you can refute and argue actual points.

Funny gifs can be used another time.

Why wasn't John Lewis marching in the 80s when crack hit or in the 90s when the crime bill passed. Alot of the mis leadership class act like our communities stopped being targeted when when MLK was murdered by the government.
Talking out your ass again. You could really fact check yourself on some of these issues you say. John Lewis on Drugs

10 years from now we're to find out Tariq was in league with Republicans to suppress the black vote. Just like all the fake hotep types in this thread spreading the same nonsense. This right here is what I'm talking about, we need to keep a close eye on posters like this. They wrap a message of black disengagement in the guise of black empowerment.
This is spot on

This post just shows how stupid you are. You claim to be black but have no hope that a black politician fighting for black issues is possible. You sound like a defeatist c00n.

Furthermore, how stupid do you sound saying you cant be for native blacks and black immigrants? ALL BLACK PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY WERE IMMIGRANTS AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER.

Hating on another black person is exactly that HATING ON A BLACK PERSON. Whether that black person came here during ancient times, during slavery, or during the 70's doesn't make them any less black. Furthermore you need to read to some fukking history. Civil rights icons worked hand in hand with African freedom fighters in the 60s and 70s and changed the world globally. You clearly don't know that if you sit around thinking other africans are you fukking enemies. GET OUT OF YOUR OWN DEFEATIST Mentality you fukking clown.

Thirdly. Im PRO BLACK IMMIGRATION. Im also equal and fair immigration laws. Not the racists one we currently have in place. Anyone claiming to be "pro-black" yet anti-black immigration is an idiot. Because guess what ALL OTHER RACES SUPPORT IMMIGRATION OF THEIR SAME PEOPLE. Blacks will dwindle into insignificance without black immigration. Dont be an idiot.

For the record, im married to a Native black american, so OF COURSE IM CONCERNED ABOUT THE NEEDS OF BLACK AMERICANS YOU MORON. Your "native black vs others" rhetoric is nothing but c00n babble. Stupid ideologies like that one is what will end up fukking you up in the long run. All the black intellectuals since ancient time have preached nothing but black unity. However your simple ass still chooses to run with the "us vs them" mentality.

Sad and pathetic all the same.

Don't quote me anymore with your dumbass.

You make me chuckle..lol. I do what I want

No. Not all black people were immigrants dumb ass. Pick up a book DAMN. You swear you spitting knowledge and dropping history -- but you ain't. Your half ass scholarship sucks.

And that's what I thought -- you and I are not aligned. All skinfolk aint kinfolk.

If the system is white supremacist according to most people on this website, why is "black disengagement" from it bad? Ooochie wally or one mic? :hula:

The only way to change a system is to either destroy and replace it, or manipulate it. Your vote gives you a tiny amount of power to manipulate the system. If you sit out, the same old boss continues to run the same old playbook. I'm from the DIRTY South, descended from generations of share croppers living on the same land as their former slave masters, and the idea that we're about 1/2 generation away from actually running things down there :wow:

If we would have spend the last 70 years moping and crying about white supremacy, nothing would have changed. Yes, you're not going to change things over night but every little vote is a nudge in teh right direction. Think about even courts and laws. WE have so many black people or Democrats in places of power now, we can actually use the courts FOR us not just suffer under judgments handed down by a legacy of white men.

Imagine thinking that neo-liberal is as bad for black people as a fascist.

The point is that Black people need to be marching to the beat of our own drum and not siding which whatever flavor of white supremacy is hot at the moment. We don’t need to be Democrat or Republican...we need to be Black people first and we should only be moved by politicians and laws that have a positive impact on our communities.

Right now, we’re letting the Democratic party fukk but we wait til after it has an orgasm to ask if it wants to be in a relationship with us. The answer always given to us is:

:picard: “Relationship? I don’t know you Black bytch”

But once winter rolls around and people are feeling lonely (election season) here comes the Democratic party texting us talking about “I miss you...wanna get dinner? I know I ain’t always did right by you but these other nikka out here is worse”. The Black commnunity’s dumb ass is like!

:ohhh:“You make a good point there...I’ll let you fukk again”.

Now the cycle repeats. We need to stop the cycle and tell the democrats:

:sas2: “nikka you ain’t gon’ hit this again until you start showing me you’re committed via actions and not just words”.

I understand many black people are accustomed to being abused and used like a whore, but we have to grow up.

We have to grow up politically, economically, and socially. How it's supposed to work is, if someone isn't giving you something, you don't hive them something. If the dems or repubs want our vote...they OFFER us something in exchange.

And we're trying to finesse at the politics game too. The other thing that goes with voting is putting money behind our vote! We're def not doing that. We're not focusing our money in politics. We're trying to run off on the plug...by giving them lip service and pencil service but no tical, no coin.

We have to grow up in our community.
