Russia promoted a lot of disinformation and voter apathy campaigns towards black people via social media back in 2016.

Whenever I hear of a black person on social media talking about how voting doesn't matter or not to vote, I start to think that they're in on the take

Is that what he is promoting? Not to vote?

Well Tariq said in so many words “we should not vote until a politician shows a Black agenda”. He makes a great point...

My Pops Forever RIP
Someone tell me what benefits I receive from blindly voting for the democrats.

I’ll wait.
You don't.

There also isn't any benefit to your stance on anything politically where you live, so if you feel like giving up on anything politically because it differs from anything you feel, you're totally on the right track to be hopeless.

But he was actually out there...so he can speak in shyt how he wants too
And because it’s his opinion
There’s no place for shyt like they didn’t beat him hard enough

Was he out there on the behalf of blacks or himself though?

If he was out there on the behalf of his self he can speak for himself :yeshrug:

Well than that's slightly different then not voting at all.

I still disagree with that approach because the stakes are too high. But I understand the frustration.

At the end of the day money is the currency of power. Voting alone doesn't work. These politicians respond to financial influence.

This is a game we still don't collectively know how to play in 2018.

Weren't you one those trump supporters/voters that was exposed in that @Killmonger thread a while back

He’s been garbage for years

Lies?

1. You dikkrode Ron Paul with the passion of Kevin Garnett after winning the 2008 finals for years despite being made aware of his white supremacist views, affiliations, and sympathies.

2. You said black people should join the tea party.

3. You're defending some redneck piece of shyt who thinks dem thar nigras wuz happier when they were doing backbreaking labor in the hot Texas Sun for scraps and were second class citizens.

4. You endorsed racist ass Rand Paul for President.

This is before rap, this is all fact.

There will never be a "Black agenda" -- because "Black" now in America -- has different agenda's - due to different classes and ethnicities with in the now catch-all "Black" term.

We don't have similar wants and needs.

If he pushes for reparations - or better Black neighborhoods -- then immigrants and whites will be mad. If he is anti- illegal immigration -- he will be labeled "xenophobic" by non-AA.

No one can win -- cause Black isn't the "Black" it used to be.

The problem is John Lewis uses his Civil Rights struggle as a trojan horse for non-black issues. Yvette Carnell is hell on the John Lewis types also.

Tariq may be abrasive but he isn't wrong. John Lewis is nothing more than a token negro that does NOTHING for African Americans. He fights harder for immigrants that African Americans all the time.

He's nothing but a civil rights good luck charm and probably an agent like most of the pastors that rolled with MLK.

He should retire an let a black person with a clear black agenda take his position. He's easily one of the weakest Congress members we have.

He's spending his last years being a civil rights mascot for every other group, instead of spending it empowering his own people. This is not the direction we need in 2018.

He’s not saying not to vote. He’s saying don’t let these people get your vote without having agendas specially for black communities as they always do.

They have lgbt agendas, Latinas, immigrants and whoever else but NEVER black.

Bingo. He's not saying "voting doesn't matter". He's actually saying that our votes are powerful, but it loses power when we give our votes away for nothing. Make politicians work for our votes. That's his whole point...
