Yes and no. Christianity doesnt teach that people shouldnt go to jail for crimes. Its plenty of passages that support the death penality. So i dont get that. Yes, i understand the forgiveness part since that what chrisitanity was built upon (Jesus dying on the cross to forgive sinners). And its plenty of passages that teach to love your enemy. But does that mean you have to hug, give Bibles, be friends. I don't think so. But i would have to hear their reasoning.

Forgiving isn't something that I would do in this case but thats me. This family is into the Christian faith heavily so it wasn't surprising. Ironically this family adheres to Christian values more than many whites claim to do.

Yes but the real solution is to come together as people for a better cause but independence and achieving trump that train of thought.
