You will never go dateless in NY, unless you choose to be bc there’s enough fine men that are choosing. The main men that I dated with any serious intent are from NY. And one in my past was from Jersey.

This is also why the concept of online dating apps is foreign to me - never been on no type of Tinder or hooking up with online people through chats bc there’s so many different real life places, live events and spaces to meet men in New York in person without going that compu-route for attention, no need for seeking arrangements or doing all that e-harmony. None of that shyt. Just go outside lol. Looks, style, convos, their aura - NY dudes are in a whole different category and vibe, for sure
Harlem men - dress flawlessly, very confident but at one point- you will be fighting another one of his chicks bc Harlem dudes tend to be flirtatious without even trying- they love gassing you with compliments, hard to resist.
Queens/Long island dudes: more refined and laid back; very good talkers and conversationalists
Brooklyn - you will either get that hyper aggressive dude with the bravado or the real studious, highly intellectual take no shyt
Staten Island - don’t even waste your time. Dubs

In NYC in the 1970’s, most nonwhites were Puerto Rican and black American, that was the tail end of the great migration

it was around 1.2 million blacks iirc in 1980, and around the same for Puerto Rican’s

it was around 200,000 Jamaicans, and the rest were from different islands.

If you add to the fact that the over 300,000 were between nyc, Boston, and Miami, that means nyc would have had maybe 250,000 from the islands

if you said some people my have Puerto Rican in their blood, then I agree. I met tons of people like that, even family friends

It really depends on where you are. Carribeans and africans self segregate. If you stay in Brooklyn, besides a few neighborhoods, you'll think there are no ados. In harlem, we everywhere. I have over 40 first cousins alone.

West Indian been in Harlem since the Renaissance and a lot mixed with ADOS. I know it hurts but you'll be okay
