i think the media attention is scaring teams off. i wouldnt mind him being the third qb as you have the qb coach working on improving his mechanics but the media attention is a burden and it undermines the starting qb

Of course when you place him in NYC the #1 media capital of the world,it would be a circus/distraction.If he ended up in Jacksonville or Arizona he would have attention but not as much. Look at Mante Teo when the drama broke, teams were afraid. He gets drafted by a small market and its as if the scandal never happened :manny:

True i see what your saying.but Sanchez sucked all of last year and Tebow got no fair shot. His mechanics were bad but al lthat matters is winning games,if Tebow is used correctly like in Denver who knows. The kid should get one more shot to compete at least...

i dont think ryan wanted him, it was a gm decision

hes not good enough to make up for the distraction he causes

its unfortunate, hes used that attention to get drafted now its biting him in the azz

You can't compare a LB to a QB.

Beyond that Denver isn't exactly NY but that didn't stop entire episodes of SC from being devoted to him. They did a First Take remote from Denver. You really think there won't be any attention if he ends up in his hometown in the same state where he made his name? :usure: Also let's not forget he could've gone to Jacksonville last year but he chose NY so it's not like he's trying to avoid the spotlight.

:dwillhuh: You actually believe what you wrote. If Tebow had a winning formula, Elway wouldn't never gave him the

As a starter he was winning so miss me with the quote. Even if his pass game was off he would make up for it by running for first downs and keeping drives alive and the occasional deep ball. That's just not what team executives are looking for cuz its not seen as foolproof but it worked for him. Plenty of credit to the Broncos D also for keeping them in games but what they had worked bottomline

Yes he did. Why the fukk would ny NOT play him at qb if he was the best option. Please tell me how that would benefit them.

that stupid contract they gave Fez had plenty to do with it.

They gave the man a 5 year extension as a "baby I'm sorry" gift for reaching out to Peyton Manning.

When Fez DID get benched for McElroy, Rex wouldn't even commit to McElroy as a starter for the following week against Jacksonville and afterwards, Rex was back in the locker room consoling Fez!

and let's be clear, it's not like our fortunes would have been that much better with Tebow starting, but at least sit Fez down. Too many times Rex played that "Fez gives us the best chance to win" card when if that were true, they wouldn't win, so they shoulda just put Fez out of our misery.

This whole "But Tebow won a playoff game" is the dumbest logic ever, especially on here.

Because based on that logic... Tebow is a better QB than Vince Young b/c he won more playoff games. And he technically has a better playoff win % than Philip Rivers. :mindblown:

In that case, using that "playoff" logic, wouldn't that mean Rex Grossman is a "winner" because he went to the Super Bowl, right?

Because we all know that Grossman willed and led his team to the Super Bowl, right? Not his defense or special teams or anything, right?

So why does Tebow all of a sudden get all the credit for basically the same thing? I think we all know the answer...

Going beyond his bad mechanics and numbers if he IS blackballed from the league I do think he got a raw deal. What QB has gone from starting on a playoff team to being blackballed from the league a year later? I cant think of any. If nothing else he was good under pressure and able to lead game winning drives which is not something u can say about many backups. We really saying Tebow doesnt deserve even a backup or 3rd string slot? Its the media attention and his fans that killed his career so I still feel bad for dude :manny:

I think Tebow can still be a backup or a spot starter for a team. I mean the Jets was a bad place to go to, he went there because he thought Sanchez would shyt the bed and he'd be the starter but that's not the case. Dude is 25 and seems like a hard worker, he'll get picked up to compete for a backup spot somewhere, but honestly he could be a late bloomer and not hit his stride until he's 29 or 30. As someone who has watched many Jets games the last season, Mark Sanchez buried you guys with his arm, just by not throwing as much, Tebow would have gotten you guys a Wildcard, and while this can't be used as a testament to how good Tebow is, it does make it evident how much of an anathema Mark Sanchez is to your offense.

The Jets would have not benefited from making the playoffs last year.

I mean... think about it. Who would Tebow have beaten in the playoffs? Broncos? Ravens? Patriots? Even the Texans have an offense and were healthy last year. :whoo:
