You can build a running grind it out offense around tebow and win games.

It's been done.
no one said you cant win games with tebow in.

you can win games nearly with any qb if you have a good team around him, unless the said qb is absolute bum

the question is why start tebow at qb position in the first place, in the NFL. besides mythical 'win factor' bullshyt most of his stans refer to there isnt a reason.

For a low market team, especially like Jacksonville, why not though?

At least you'd attract fans and media whether win or lose and if you don't have a qb of the future, why not?

They want to be a respectable football team, not some media sideshow circus. What good did that shyt do for NY?:usure:

It wasn't a fair fight. It was never a fair fight.

You really think that Tebow demonstrated that he was a better QB and Rex just ignored it? :usure: From all accounts he stunk it up in practice. He stunk it up in Denver. Only reason he got in was because they were 1-4 and were on some "throw some shyt against the wall and see if it sticks" type shyt. Jets were still in hunt in the last quarter of the season. And yeah there is no denying that Rex is stubborn and was attached to Sanchez but unless Tebow was demonstrating superiority that's not really relevant.

Man everybody knows i'm a HUGE Gator fan and HUGE Tebow supporter and I want to see him do well but he just has to make the best of any situation he lands in. His last season in Denver, while he won a lot of games and proved that option football can work in the NFL, he doesn't possess the PASSING aspect that Kap, RG3, Vick, etc possess to keep the defense honest. Tebow is the opposite as his running skills is needed to open up his passing windows while the QB's I mentioned are flipped.

He's NOT going to be a Rich Gannon, Steve Young, or Mark Brunell player aka QB who were running threats who later became great passers once their legs slowed down because they were really good passers to begin with (maybe not so much Gannon but y'all get my drift).

I'm not going to feed into that "he didn't perform great in practice to earn his PT" metric as the end all be all for him not getting his shot in NY, but it does say something that it was reported he didn't show much of anything in practice to give the coaching staff faith. I mean, he probably didn't in Denver but expectations for him in Denver were different as they were already 1-4 and needed a spark and in NY, he would have a different kind of pressure and expectation level.

:pachaha: People in here posting defensive stats before and after Tebow was inserted into the starting lineup. It's called ball control. Eat up the clock,Run the ball, Rest your defense.

Fully rested defense+ ball control+ #1 run offense in da league = Lower PPG

Not rocket science

I can't even see that image cause it's blocked here at work but no I was saying to BEGIN with, Gannon wasn't the passer he turned out to be later in his career even though he was still a better passer than Tebow at this stage in their respective careers :manny:
my bad, i get what you saying now

:snoop: You are looking at it one sided. You have to take into account the total Time of Possesion battle between both teams. When Tebow took over that team most of his wins came as a result of winnig the TOP battle. His defense shined because they were on the field far lesser then they were when Kyle Orton was the starting QB. It's not even a debate. Not to mention he didn't turn the ball over either.
