One important factor to consider in the case of Tim Tebow is to also consider that as a starter, dude had the Broncos in the top 5 in the league in TOP, this made their defense better in that they were rested, and were therefore more effective. So actually Tim Tebows style of play did make the defense better by proxy. This is also why the Broncos scored less points they actually managed to win games. In a offensively challenged team, protecting the ball and extending drives becomes crucial and in that sense Tebow is better than a few starters now.

They still wind up with a negative TOP for the Tebow era, negative point differential.

And this is in addition to seriously handicapping the passing game and coughing up the football when running.

Did you also go this hard for former Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch to get his shot?

This whole "But Tebow won a playoff game" is the dumbest logic ever, especially on here.

Because based on that logic... Tebow is a better QB than Vince Young b/c he won more playoff games. And he technically has a better playoff win % than Philip Rivers. :mindblown:

In that case, using that "playoff" logic, wouldn't that mean Rex Grossman is a "winner" because he went to the Super Bowl, right?

Because we all know that Grossman willed and led his team to the Super Bowl, right? Not his defense or special teams or anything, right?

So why does Tebow all of a sudden get all the credit for basically the same thing? I think we all know the answer...

Exactly. Last time I checked Mark Sanchez won 4 playoff games but I don't hear anybody talking about what he deserves. nikkas ready to toss his ass in the bushes based off of his piss poor play last year. However the nikka that won 1 playoff game and couldn't beat Sanchez out even with him playing as poorly as he did is getting a raw deal. :rudy:

I can think of many other players who have gotten a rawer deal than this untalented clown.

Raw deal? Aaron Brooks is somewhere laughing.

Manning could be Broncos defensive MVP - Stats & Info Blog - ESPN

:heh:

The Broncos offense, led by Tim Tebow for most of the season, punted after three plays on 31 percent of their drives. Only the 2-14 Colts had a worse three-and-out percentage (32 percent).

From 2001 to 2011, 19 teams went three-and-out at least 30 percent of their offensive drives, and none finished over .500 for the season. The 2011 Broncos were the third team to go .500 and the first to make the playoffs with such a rate.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
How come no fan wants to nominate their OWN team to take a chance on Tebow

I mean he just wins right, dont you want your team to win?

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit i'd take him on the niners... kaep starts of course.. but we run the option. with tebow and gore in the backfield, yea i'd be good for that about 10 plays a game

would gore run.. would kaep run.. would kaep fake it to gore then tebow run... or fake to gore, then tebow fakes a run and passes it.. or tebow gets a direct snap then hands it to gore... which opens up for................

realize i'd never be dumb enough to put him in as all time qb, drop back passing... but as long as more and more teams run the option..... lets not forget who STARTED this option shyt in the league when everyone said it would NEVER work....

then tebow won with it.. then everyone else won with it last year.. it's only gonna get more and more like the college game soon with all the spreads and options they just now. who better to backup a running qb with option plays, then a running qb who runs options plays, who's won a playoff game doing it

But that's what we are talking about. :heh: Everybody is down with having him as a chance of pace/Wildcat QB, that's what the Jets brought him in to be. He and his enablers believe that he should be a starter. :patrice:

Yes he did. Why the fukk would ny NOT play him at qb if he was the best option. Please tell me how that would benefit them.

Maybe he didnt look the best in practice. But he has proven when he is on the field, he gets results and he wins games. Even if it isn't the prettiest. Now does that make him an elite QB? No, but does it make him someone who deserves a shot over trash like Mark Sanchez?

Yes, it does.

he didnt get results. They were winning games against teams that couldnt score. Once they faced a team that could score, the games were over. Tea team goes where the d takes them, and we saw that against the ravens.

outside of practice, tebo completed passes at the tune of below 50% (absolutely ridiculous in todays game) and the offense under him leading the league in 3 and outs...

yet HE wins games, not the team around him :heh:

media really got you brainwashed huh :smh:

whats funny is that the same people talkin about tebow winnin game and shyt 'by himself' will point out 5 or 6 game winning drives he had :heh:...and yet when shown mark sanchez had the same number of game winning drives 3 years ago....they will disregard them, completely...because obviously it wasnt him, it was the defense :usure:

because when tebow 'wins' its divine fukking intervention that cannot be quantified :snoop:
