Fair point. Don't know his industry. Only considering big tech and quant roles where, unless you completely bombed the screener, you can often get another interview in 3-6.

Honestly, keep to the STAR format for interview questions.

Describe the problem with some context and background story, say what you did to fix it then explain the results of your work and benefits the company got out of it.

That basically covers technical know how and actual contribution. It’s very natural additionally.

Why would you want to be a mechanic? Your competitors are undocumented people who offer dirt cheap services. Good luck making any kind of money in such an environment. I would recommend being a Diesel mechanic though, they make good money due to how specialized they are.

Applied to a job April 14th. Got the interview availability email April 30th. The earliest available interview is May 13th

Sometimes I wonder if other fields have to go through the shenanigans IT has to offer.
