Anyone work in local government IT? Looking at this sec engineering job with my state(low 6 figures). I know private is where the money is but I'm looking for some stability. I don't think I'd get layoff due to the amount of hats I wear(startup) and relationship with the owner, but the current market got a nikka a little nervous
Yeah I did. And actually both of my parents have held management roles at large tech companies. But based on the comments Iโve seen you post you seem to be overlooking racial bias in the hiring process at these companies.

If that's the case, you should be learning everything possible from them.
I can't do anything about the "racial bias in the hiring process at these companies"--whatever that means.
I can do something about leveling up my skills. I'm focused on that until I'm in a position to make a change at these companies.

This would be like telling a smart black kid not to go to law school because there are "racial biases" in hiring. Ok, well what is he/she supposed to do then?
