Cheapest thing Americans and Canadians can do is get the manual bidet hose and install it to the sink pipes. Wipe first use the water to rinse and cleanup and you're good.

It's what I use. But yeah it would murder the toilet paper industry so it's never gonna be pushed to people.

Seen this one joint in Tokyo that had an electronic menu with an assortment of options to choose from. You can choose from male/female options, with each having different pressure, and location where the water is squirted (number one or two).
Thing had a heated seat, and you toggle through the levels of warmth

Whole thing was in Japanese so I'm pressing random buttons on that thing and my face cycling through and then when you hit the right level for the heated seats and the ass washer.

Oh, and that thing had an electronic seat cover lifter that's synced with the door opening

That's a life goal having one of those joints in my home.

I fukks with Kimberly Clark quality wipes. Wipes that are specifically designed for toilet use.

Sewer/septic safe. They dissolve/break down easily.

No they dont. Those will fukk up your septic system something awful. They break down more than normal wipes but not enough to clear the system.

I’ve lived in Japan for months at a time. At first I avoided using them out of fear and ignorance....one day I think I was smacked and said fukk it and used it.

Once you figure out what button does what, it’s a very helpful appliance. It’s probably the most hygienic way to get that clean. You can adjust the water temperature, position of nozzle, and most of them automatically blows warm air to dry you off .

I’ve been to meaning to order one off Amazon. Using western toilets without electronic bidets feel so primitive after getting used to the Japanese ones.

They self clean. And the nozzle is hidden in a compartment and moves out when it sprays.
