Imagine an app that charges your phone?
:ooh::ooh:

Don't steal my idea or ima pull up
:bustback:
That would be impossible. Their are phone cases you can charge and by simply a press of a button you can charge your phone. Or you can get yourself a portable power pack

In high school (about a decade ago for me now) I had a Chemistry teacher who was saying something similar. Basically there really haven't been any huge technological breakthroughs. We're just improving upon stuff we already have. Some people might say smart phones but those are just smaller computers. By major breakthrough we're talking about shyt like the invention of the car, airplane, tv, internet, etc.
Does the 3D printer count? People can literally replicate a house for like 1/4th of the cost...

...all you need is the materials and your good to go.

Idk about you, but that's pretty fukking big

Technology isn’t the problem. Science is. It usually takes a while for science to turn into tech. We’re not making those huge discoveries anymore. What I’m worried about is discoveries slowing down.

NO MONEY IS THE PROBLEM. HUMANS ARE HELD BACK BY MONEY. THERE ARE SO MANY PROJECTS ON A SHELF BECAUSE THE OWNER CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE MONEY DOING IT.

OIL COMPANIES STRANGLED CLEAN ENERGY UNTIL THEY COULD GET THEIR FOOT IN THE DOOR AND NOW THEY SUPPORT IT. MONEY HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BIGGEST OPPONENT TO SCIENCE.

Can you go a little further about harnessing fusion energy?

Nuclear energy in the palm of your hand, clean and efficient, able to run in perpetuity. Our biggest obstacle is the life of batteries in the mobile devices we have. Once we extend battery life exponentially, we will have freed ourselves of the one constraint that has left us stagnant.

All we have is more convenience... Less people understand how the tools and tech they depend on works now than before. Less people who can actually work manually or figure things out without tech.

We delude ourselves into thinking just because tech got smarter that we also did but it's quite the opposite. The more convenient life gets the dumber humans will become on average. Less dependent on using our brains and bodies.

I'm actually kinda d of usoet that one day on the future travel between planets will be like hopping on a plane to another country.

I mean we've gone from some journeys taking months to as low as half an hour thanks to technology. Space exploration is probably the only thing about the future Id really want to see. There are an estimated 100 BILLION galaxies+ and the milky way being ours has roughly that amount in alien planets. And it's not even the biggest Galaxy by a long shot.

I just wanna know what's out there :noah:

That’s the thing about inventions, you almost never knew you needed it til it’s always impacted and found a way into your daily life. The next tech advancement? We’ll be talking about it after it has impacted and changed the way we go about our lives. If I were to actually guess what would be the next BIG thing? Self automated cars and changes in common transportation (trains to mag levs)
