No please keep going, because those are hits and that's cute and all but Phonte and I agree on what Jams are, Jams are spiritual, Jams moves the spirit, Jams is an energy that connects the room and everybody is on the same frequency, Jams have you on the dance floor having a damn near outer body experience. Jams will get your Grandma off the couch and on the floor. We Blacks Folks are Spiritual People, Jams connects all Generations!

These are Jams

So please go on and once again I ask somebody post some Babyface Jams

man stop...this is all your opinion.

How you gon tell someone whats a jam in their mind?

Seems like you need to take your own advice and stop. But it's Sunday and we are in shelter in place so I got time.

This not just my opinion if you ass would of did some research your ass would of known Phonte and I share the sentiments and I would rock with Phonte who is knowledgeable on music and culture of Black music then over you in matter of fact I bet majority of Black Music listeners would agree with Phonte and I over you

so your argument is "Phonte says so, so it must be true".

I hope as a adult male you dont live your life that way.

What youre really trying to say is Babyface has more commercial appeal (white people like him)...so he aint black enough for you.

fukk out of here w/ that bullshyt thinking.

If youre old enough to remember the 80s and 90s then youre old enough to know black folks fuked w/ Face.

Cats will talk about "jams" and then bring up one of MJs most generic songs (Remember the Times) to give Teddy Riley a point.

Yeah I said it, be a Man and mention names

And it's funny you posted Whispers Rock Steady when I already highlighted this jawn once as one of his Jams

And the funniest shyt in this thread you and 2 other people posted this as his Jam after all that sappy ballad shyt don't fly as a jam

Once again proving my point that when it comes to Jams the whispers rock steady is what they only think of as a jam for Babyface

Basically proving my point, you making this to easy

Had no idea Teddy started out as rap producer doing KOOL Moe Dee "go see the doctor" and the hit song, "The Show" by Dougie Fresh and Slick Rick. Slick Rick and Dougie Fresh still eat of that song when performing that mid 80'd hit song

It's a Black Thing You Wouldn't U understand it, We black people are spiritual people, and you wouldn't know what Soul is because you seem void of it, no matter how many Dilla beats you listen to you are void of it

Yeap... and that goes for the ballads too... because Teddy had the dancefloor, but I also think people are not acknowledging the slower songs that absolutely live in the culture- Make It Last Forever, Piece of My Love, Let's Chill, Before I Let You Go... sheeeit... he can pull these from the sleeve and have people like :ohhh: just in case they weren't thinkin' about em... same way Babyface has some upbeat joints that people don't commonly bring up when they think about him.

This is why Teddy >>>

Has an elite counter for all of Face's strong points.

Not to go in between you guys argument but let's appreciate both dudes however teddy situation vastly different than Babyface.
Teddy Introduced a new underground urban dance/hip hop style that and out the gate Babyface produced and added his musical genius to an already an R&B circuit. Teddy produced more rap songs cause he from that hip hop cloth. there was a time hip hop wasnt respected.
Babyface cant do what teddy do in the hip hop spectrum. he did try with Jay Z but that wasnt Babyface strengths

Although Teddy has crossover hits and his legacy giving Neptune's a chance to shine when he moved to Virgina.

However, No one can match Babyface catalog. Babyface perfected his style very polished smooth classy in an already established R&B arena except Babyface did it perfectly. Teddy was more for jamming and Babyface more for hits like Phonte said. both needed in musical history.

For club urban jams playing in clubs many dj had teddy music on rotation cause Teddy did good number of hip hop based songs as well genre as a hip hop producer most folks don't know . Babyface his music had more crossover appeal both legends and contributed their strengths on their own lane.

Like Phone said, one person had hits and the other person had jams.
