Haven't bought golf balls in years. I typically find enough Pro V1s or higher end golf balls still in good shape while I'm out there playing (typically in out of bounds areas). I also come across some high end balls at the golf course range I go to.

My game isn't consistent enough for me to invest in high end balls. Maybe if I shoot under 80 consistently and getting new high end balls will make a difference in shooting close to par.

The last 2 years are the first time I've really tried to play the same ball. Played the Bridgestone's last year, only because I had a bunch of gift cards from scrambles so didn't mind paying pro shop prices for them.
I don't see a ton of difference between any of the 3 or 4 piece balls tbh.

I'm cheap man, straight Top-Flite lol. Can't be losing 4$ golf balls with the way I drive it sometimes.

Do you guys use range finders? I'm about to grab one. No more guessing yardages.

Hell nah. Get an app with course GPS.

And if you're anywhere near even like an 18 hcap, I'd suggest better balls. Even one step up to something like Bridgestone e12s or Vice Tours... any "second tier" ball...is going to be a noticeable difference on any iron shot and especially around the green.
Hitting chips and pitch shots with a rock is fukking impossible lol

Been using one for a while and it's really helpful if your iron distances are consistent. Like i mentioned in an earlier post you can also download an app. I've played with a few others who use a watch with a gps. But knowing distances is really helpful to scoring well.

For beginners or mid to high handicaps, it's most helpful for just knowing how far you're hitting each iron. I think most average golfers would be better off just playing to the middle of most greens...hell I would too lol.

I think it's really helpful for shorter irons and wedges since you can really be precise with those. I'm aiming for that pin if i'm 175 yards or closer.

I mean, I do the same. It's definitely more fun than playing for 30 foot 2putts on every hole lol.

Yeah, i need a new phone anyway. I'm a 12 hdcp but I've been there for about 15-20 years. I'm trying to get to where 1/3 of my rounds are in the 70s.

Here you go. These are straight.. and they sell them in yellow too (which is what i play for the most part)

These. Or some used, AAAA balls on Amazon are what I'd suggest. The difference really is massive

FYI: if you go to Golf Galaxy and they don't have your item in stock, they may do a "special" online order which could take WEEKS to deliver.

I'm getting new shafts for my Driver and sand wedge and ordered them at the beginning of the month. They aren't going to ship for another two weeks.
