what in the church do you feel should not be labeled as negative?

Churches function as homeless shelters, schools, centers for the arts, centers for music, poverty outreach, build a sense of belonging in a community, etc

Then again I'm responding to an idiot.

The point of institutional religion isn't "finding answers" :mjlol:
Yeah it is.

It answers the questions of ethics for people who refuse to invest in understanding how societies work and it tries to simplify the natural world with explanations for physical phenomena.

What the entire fukk are you talking about?

Why do any of these things have to be in a church?

This is irrelevant in regard to your prior statement.

If the non-religious want to create their own institutions that do those thing then do it, but I've seen little evidence of any interest to do so.

The point of religion was to foster community and create norms, dumbass. The stories were a means to coalesce community.

actually it does
these things have nothing to do with church, it's just things that people do when they get together
plenty of secular groups do the same stuff

You claimed the church does nothing progressive/positive, to which I quickly destroyed.
