All that you mentioned happened when hip hop was still growing, so naturally things were changing, and the south was still getting hip to a lot of hip hopIt's not a matter of not liking southern hip hop. If you were around in NY (or the Tri State area) during the 90's/early 2000's then you know there was way more diversity than hardcore or mafioso rap. De La Soul, Outkast, Tribe, The Roots, X Clan, The Pharcyde, Pete Rock & CL Smooth etc...And even though NY rappers were dressing like street nikkas the diversity in the music was always there even though NWA ushered in the mainstream gang culture & "gangsta" rap. My point is NY filtered a lot of the bullshyt rap & if you didn't have skills you weren't gonna make it & there was no lane for you. The south opened floodgates of terrible "rappers" going mainstream, stripper culture in hip hop, & most of the fukery we see today
@Wild self can go further into this
No one can front on Thirstin Howl III saying nikka because he grew up with us, and never fronted, while still being a proud Puerto Rican@skeetsinternal ain't saying shyt if a big booty Puerto Rican bytch is calling you nikka while you blowing her back out. You can't have it both ways.
I like how you bring up Takeshi 69 as an example, an obvious fukking weak link. Like other Latin cats in NY don't know that he's faking the funk. Why don't you bring up Thirstin Howl III as an example? We all know why.
You can say that about a lot of Puerto Ricans/Dominicans who grew up in the hood in NYC.No one can front on Thirstin Howl III saying nikka because he grew up with us, and never fronted, while still being a proud Puerto Rican
That's why its hard for me to agree with all of them shouldn't be saying nikkaYou can say that about a lot of Puerto Ricans/Dominicans who grew up in the hood in NYC.
What's of great consequence to me is what dude talks about in this video- RICO, the fact that it's dangerous af
1) any government agency can walk into any project throughout the United States and apply RICO to any "gang" or affiliation;
2) RICO was originally apply to the Italian Mafia because of their "mob tax" but the govt is using their discretion to arrest black men creating disparities in the system
3)The coorelation between RICO statutes and gentrification 21:14- feds are 'rico happy' in that they can arrest a group of black men and alleged petty crimes that don't apply to the group as a whole thereby, forcing them out of public housing bc felons can't live in public housing; which is located on valuable land that developers then flip into profit. Leading to black men not being able to stay/live with their families, homelessness, instability... that's a real issue.
Disagree and I'm suspect at your use of labeling them as "goons" and "needing to be buried under the jail". The Feds are not above reproach and does not qualify your statement - RICO is applied haphazardly and in a discriminatory manner. I have certain affiliations through family connections, I am very familiar with the organization and its "ties". Not saying they're justified in all activities that take part of; however, the DEA, FBI, DOJ function as gangs in and of themselves. That's all I'm really speaking on the subject. I have valid reasons that support my claims and I'm not supportive of agencies that systematically and historically enforce racist practices/policies on black men and women under the guise of "justice for all" .I get what you're saying but let's be real. Treyway aka 9 trey Blood is nothing to blink an eye at. I have dealt with these dudes back in the mid 00s back when they were just goons in the background of Dipset videos and they're a multi-million dollar organization with ties with murders, extortion, drugs etc. I think this applies with well within the RICO.
this isnt a case of the feds just throwing RICO at nikkas for no reasons. These nikkas need to be buried under the jail.
ain't none of them use the N word or around me or call me a nikka.@skeetsinternal ain't saying shyt if a big booty Puerto Rican bytch is calling you nikka while you blowing her back out. You can't have it both ways.

If you look at his family damn near half of them are black, so talking shyt on Thirstin would make whoever that is doing it, a fool
It's prison, a totally different worldSome of them don't stay down in the feds in Beamount,Lompac and Atwater.
