Terminator is a great horror movie, and the t-100 was a cold mf. A solid “A”.
But terminator 2 is at worst, the third best sequel of all time, had special effects that are so good that they rate in 2022 cgi tier, and is like a top ten action movie in film history.

Yup. This 1000%.
Both movies do such a great job capturing the aesthetic of the decade they were released in, even down to the choice of genre. But 2 is goat in my eyes.
Watching them recently, seeing sarah go from 80s girl to outrunning a truck in the first was pretty dope. The second one killed it with the special effects, but i didnt care for the story. It kinda sucks how both aliens and t2 have their female leads look insane while being absolutely right forbthe sequels, then the series manages to fall off a cliff.
Hard to compare them because they're different vibes. T2 is GOAT status to me though, personally
