Tetsuo and Youth vs Illmatic

As of my 9th listen T&Y is my favorite album ever. I don't see that changing unless I discover Lupe is secretly worshipping Satan throughout the album.

Illmatic is one of my favorites ever as well though.

Tek, it's a good album. But NOOOOOOOO where near as great as his stans are trying to paint it as. His cryptic, abstract rhymes just aren't that enjoyable to me and there's nothing outside of Mural that I think I'll be revisiting often. I'd say it's a 3.5/5 album. Definitely worth a listen, but it's deification in the Tetsuo thread is unbelievably silly.

There's not a bad song on illmatic breh. Every single one of them is very good or great. You Big Mel status on the Nas hate tip.

You may not think it's better than Illmatic but you would have to be a diehard hater to not like that album breh. Literally would have go out of your way. Do you, but if you do decide to listen to it, go into it without any preconceived notions positive or negative.

These Lupe stans are funny. Lupe's new album came out about a week ago and it's already "his best album". Let that shyt breathe. I know you been starving for some new music from him but your behaviour is getting ridiculous.

Some of my favourite albums weren't even my favourite albums at first. I really had to let them shyts sink in before I could appreciate what was on the tracklist

U my dude fam but the album deserves more than 3.5 mics just off the beats and hooks alone....nikkas buggin wit threads like these tho...but I think the album is better than GKMC and that overrated ass MDBTF...

I respect your opinion spliz, but I don't think the albums that great. I listened 3 times and just don't see the hoopla. I prefer both GKMC and MDBTF over Tetsuo, by a good amount. Both are very enjoyable albums that I revisit often.

I mean it's cool if u don't get it I'm not tryna force no opinions or whatever...I just respectfully disagree but I think it's threads like these that turn people off...nikkas can't just be reasonable fans n shyt..lol
