My thing wit Nastradamus is that I think it gets unfairly shytted on as well...I don't think it's a great album or nothin tho being how it was just pasted together wit a bunch of tracks that was supposed to be on I Am...one song being better than a bunch of songs on another album don't mean it's fair to compare an alright album to a legit dope project...and Little Death>>>>alotta songs on Nastradamus...
I think Nas is so good that because there was a small drop off from his usual quality that people latch on to it as a terrible album when it really wasn't, it had a lot of joints I fukk with, probably a 3.5 mic album to me.
Was just listening to it just now, a lot of songs I fukk with....
But we have a difference of opinion, I don't think Lupe's album is a dope album, I think it's a poor album, I think Nastradamus is a good album, not great for Nas' standards or his best, but a good project. He was still spitting on the album.
There's not really much to say, cause I disagree, I don't like any song on the Lupe album personally, you do, that's cool, but personally I'd bump every Nas album over the new Lupe album. It's not like I dislike every Lupe album either, I quite liked F&L2, but this 1 I can't feel at all.

Yea, no biggie. I didn't take it that way. And mobb, I definitely see that snobbish, pretentious attitude from some of his stans also. Like you have to be a Rhodes Scholar to appreciate what Lupe was doing on Tetsuo.
This song was ill, Nas' verse was crazy... I know this is slightly off topic but fukk it, this shyt was dope... Love Nas's conceptuality within his music, 1 of the reasons he's 1 of the greatest to me, he's creative, great writer, and actually connects, very dope MC too...

This song is so overlooked b/c of the fact that its on Nastradmas.
Same thing with Project Windows...although I prefer the version of Project Windows that was on the I Am Bootleg.
Exactly, that's kind of my point. People love to hop on bandwagons while ignoring the music, some people say the whole Nastradamus was trash, it wasn't. That joint right there was crazy, a classic song and wasn't the only 1 on the album. That shyt was ill though, Nas took it there, that also exemplifies the difference between Nas and Lupe on this album, Nas dropped that shyt perfectly and masterfully, no corny inflections, no ba ba ba ba ba's cause it was in video games or rhyming just a baby 6 times cause it was on some album covers, no bullshyt, just a real joint the streets can relate to but it also highly creative, conceptual and metaphorical. Even the delivery sounds hungry and fits the song and concept, even the whispering bit, everything fits, everything sounds natural, he gives prison a feeling just like he gave the gun a personality on I Gave You Power, these are true genius records, these are records that deserve the praise, not the pseudo intellectual shyt. Nas is a true master and that's 1 of the reasons he will most likely forever be better than Lupe and 1 of the truly great artists of all time.

As much as I love Tetsuo & Youth and Lupe, there is no way this album is anywhere near the level of Illmatic.
Well ya'll the ones acting like Tetsuo is Godly and a masterpiece, why don't you try to build an argument that it's at least in the Illmatic conversation? Some cats (you know who I'm talking about) already implicitly stated that it is. Ya'll unadulterated fellating of the Tetsuo album made threads like this possible.
