4 relevant rappers, not a lot of states that has more.. NY, GA, Cali, Illinois, Florida, Louisiana (?) and Pennsylvania (Meek, wiz, mac and ? Chevvy?) and that's about it so I wouldn't say dead. There's no movement though, no crews.. Do they even fukk with each other those 4 dudes?

But yes compared to 2005 it's pretty dead.

Truth be told, Texas Rappers are underrated because they don't need Non-Texans to make a living. Texans support home grown music so much, that they can make a good amount of money staying in state...

this...i love houston rappers and always appreciated how they had they're own thing going like we did. nobody is looking for your co-sign, plenty of artists getting money and love in their own region and plenty folks from those regions support their artists.

This is somewhat true, but don't think rappers don't wanna blow up nationally. They do, but can't not due to their own shortfalls but, the cities' failing support system overall. I'm talking about directors, producers, engineers, pr, management, photographers; finding quality professionals in those fields is hard in Houston. I blame it on cronyism and nepotism, that's all I'll say.
