A lot of her recent projects ar pretty D list with a bunch of C list actors in them.

It's sad but women who look like Teyonah, however beautiful and talented,

...They were both in 'Dear White People' but tessa Thompson is part of the Marvel franchise and Teyonah's career is nowhere near that.

Birth of a nation was sabotaged from the onset while this is getting brilliant reviews. This is America.

I just wanted to point out that 'Birth of a Nation' was getting RAVE reviews until Nate Parker's rape allegations surfaced and is a steaming pile of horsehit movie. It actually was the most expensive movie ever sold after Sundance.That shows much buzz and excitement there was about it...and its trash.

The film also has a lame white savior narrative, spends ages focusing on the degradation and violence levelled at the black characters, including inventing rapes that were never actually documented...and then when we finally get to see the uprising against the white masters, a lot of the violence is hidden.
