So if "Death Row" didn't exist until 1992, why would they release something in 1991?

1 starring this thread and negging for stirring up bullshyt that doesn't exist. :camby:

You irrational Junkie. Why are you so pissed off that that was the actual name of the company. You can do your own research if you don't believe me.

And you're asking a question NEITHER you nor I could answer. Fact of the matter was that Chocolate was supposed to be out first. Fact of the matter is that Snoop was with Dre before it was documented.

You just sound like you're geekin for attention you little nerd

Name something that I presented that could be presented as false as to where I already where else I gave my opinion on.

thats my shyt right there

You can tell that this shyt was made between 90-92 lol. That Sound reeks of it. I wouldn't even doubt that it was made in 89'.

Your man Snoop was bound to be a Star regardless. That's part of the reason why they kept him around at Ruthless

Been known about this. But still props to everybody who broke it down.

To the dude who wondered how people could find old C.I.A. shyt and not alot of Snoop's older shyt can be based on Cube being on Priority and Snoop - at the time - obviously was on Death Row who was distrubuted & then joined together with Interscope.

Sometimes major labels do that.

I remember hearing stories of Def Jam having teams who used to pay some bootleggers for some of X's early shyt before his 1st album came out, like the 2pac diss. I guess at the time people were threatning to release it or whatever and that was after 2pac was dead (not the disses, but the situation) so that would obviously taint (so Def Jam believed) X's roll-out.

Not sure how real it is but i definitely seems plausible. Have heard similar stories regarding other artists.

But Snoop was President of Priority Records and he's always maintained good relations with Interscope somehow someway so why have it locked away for all of this time?..?

Sometimes tho I be thinkin these dudes gonna wait til they dead or in they 70s to release some of their Unreleased material. They've been hip to the fact that there's a Market for it. Like one day I'ma wake up and be 83 and I'ma pull out my phone and read that Dre done finally put out the full version of his Solo Version of "California Love" on iTunes

What's funny about that is if Pac wouldn't have passed I think he would've made an ally with X if he had heard that and he would've been collaboratin with the nikka somehow. I think Pac would've been Pac and would've used a little Art Of War strategy with X and X woulda ate it up because the young dog was hungry #2cents

Right but that was after leaving Death Row. I meant that period up until he left DR & was the hottest.

Lol word. Financially and business wise it does make sense if you a somewhat highly regarded artist. Then when they 80 they sell their vault gems and eat more. But of course fans suffer lol.

Maybe, not too sure tho. X actually lived what he was talking about and i dont see it in him. But you're right, maybe cus of the hunger he wouldve. X was actually seriously posed to sign to DR ca 93-94. Irv Gotti was there too. But they couldnt agree on the contractual terms or whatever so the deal didnt fall thru.

He actually met and did the cipher thing with Snoop, Kurupt and them. Suge was there too This was when they were out in NY somwhere between 93-94.

Not sure about homie to the far left but the rest still rolled with X when he got on with Def Jam

True dat.

I remember hearing something about DMX almost signing to Death Row but I always thought that it was a myth. I never knew Irv was there either. Which now I guess makes sense of all of that unity with Murder Inc. back in the day. I just thought it came from the idea of Suge, J. Prince, and Irv Gotti trying to start a Distribution company that The Feds (allegedly) shut down.

And best believe Pac would've convinced X to get on his side. X would've been Small (but big) Fish to him at the time. He would've been a good opportunity to move towards a more Broader Audience. He would've been the perfect checkmate, and DMX wouldn't've been disrespected or degraded in any way. It probably would've given him more credibility (as if he didn't already have enough :sadcam:

DMX over polished Mastering (or even this kind) with Beats like this would've been :mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry:

I wonder if there's an album out there full of Kurupt SOS Band material, demos n everything.

I think Daz (and I could be wrong) is originally from out Oklahoma. So he might got some shyt out there too. He started learning Producing from Dre & Warren but I imagine he had already started spittin 16s by then. I wouldn't doubt that he wrote for Dre during "The Chronic". Matter of fact I think he did

If you guys listen the warren G episode on combat jack he kind of explains how all this old material is showing up.

Some on here know how I feel about Podcasts. I can't just sit there for 2 hours listening to people talk. That's just me tho.

What did he say? I hear Jack really does go in on his interviews. They say he gets to tha nitty gritty and talk about that shyt that ain't nobody else able to talk about becuz he doesn't have to keep shyt so P.C.

There's alot of things covered in that podcast from details on how him, snoop, and nate grew up together and how they all recorded songs before getting put on by dre and death row. Pretty much they had the plug from dre but it was kind of like on and off process and things got nixed around the time he left deathrow. Pretty much big hutch give him the keys to the G funk sound.
