Do you not feel a heart attack? Or is it an instant “lights out”?

I felt a constant pain in my chest, like a HUGE weight was on it, and couldn't take deep breaths at all. I tried aspirin, water, laying down, etc., waiting for the pain to subside.........for 4 hours. I couldn't take it anymore so walked a block to a clinic and told them I thought I was having a heart attack. They took my BP/vitals and quickly established that was the case. Ambulance came about 10 minutes later and took me to the ER. They discovered that one of my arteries had a 90% blockage and RUSHED me into surgery where they unblocked it by running a catheter through an artery in my groin up into my heart area and implanting a stent. Had I waited any longer, I'd have died. This was back in 2012. I'm middle-aged.​

So, to answer your question, you DEFINITELY feel a heart attack under the right conditions.......and they SUCK.​
