No, it's stupid.

He didn't address the root cause, just the symptoms.

The population will just grow back again and the cycle will continue

Killing random people indiscriminately will fukk up the economy, and may even create power vacuums if certain world leaders die

Crime might increase dramatically due to the short term instability

People will be distraught their loved ones are gone and be paranoid at the random deaths, and may be susceptible to radicalization

Thanos's plan would just create more violence, and then eventually, things will just end up right where they were.

Hell, Kira from Death Note was better. At least he actually lowered crime rates and made things safer, even if he was radical.

Why would it happen again? People will learn from it and do better.

I don't see crime rising because people will police themselves.

We can just leave it at him being a fascinating character and a well thought out villain. No need to justify his bullshyt.

Like, everytime there is a good villain there is someone saying Why ____ wasn't actually wrong no matter how evil and shytty their plan was:heh:

Yeah it sucks some our family and friends might go, hell we might even go. But when you look at global warming, Covid, and all the other evil shyt going on, shyt has you saying maybe it isn't a bad idea after all.:ohhh: Thinking about how villainous our world is now, was his decision THAT morally wrong?

If we don't get global warming done now, we may all die horrible deaths anyway:francis:

its all about perspective to be honest. if u look at it from his point of view, then I agree. but since we watched 15 years of marvel movies with our protagonist, we are gonna be biased towards them obviously.

The moment you realize Thanos didn't really want to kill them heroes throughout Infinity War especially. He already had what, 2 stones by the beginning? He could've permanently deleted anyone going up against him but if you notice he only dealt with them fools temporarily, and rarely went for killshots

Call it plot, but eh:yeshrug:
