so we pay the price and make the sacrifices while big corporations keep doing what they’ve been doing? nah no thank you. no different than big corporations on wall st destroying the economy and the little man having to bail them out so they can just do it even bigger the next time.

we could do all you named and it wouldn’t amount to a drop in the bucket as long as the corporations and scientific community are allowed to continue as they have been.

you think eating less or buying a smaller house is gonna counter whatever that shyt those planes are spraying up in the skies all over the world everyday?

we ain’t in charge of anything that moves the meter when it comes to climate change, so if the powers that be are content running the planet into the ground there’s not a whole lot that can be done.

Big corporations are doing what they do because people allow it. The sooner you stop buying, the faster they crumble.

don’t hold your breath waiting on that.

Western style consumerism hasn’t even hit the East yet. Wait unti they’re fully industrialized and Asia and Africa get a taste of the lifestyle the west has enjoyed and the corporations get a taste of those profits.

poor writing. dude has a universal level item like the infinity gauntlet where he could just make more resources, but instead he just snaps half the beings away? :gucci:

Writing a good villain is all about making their objective compelling

He's actually right. Mathematically

Yes

The population would replenish eventually perhaps. But the difference is: we are advanced now. The population growth slows and even reverses in advanced civilizations.

Eliminate half the people and the remaining people are more of the two kids type fam rather than the 10 kid type fam.

Population would grow more intentionally and smarter just cause we know what population explosion wrought. Namely pollution bad enough to break the weather among other effects.

The next doubling of the population would be slowed as well as more planned out.

But ultimately his idea is insane cause the other prospect is the only way. To learn how to do It right ANYWAY. There is a long trajectory here. Humans will be around forever. So we will do It wrong for a while til we master it. Then we will exist for billions of years in a steady state.

And it is actually happening that the world population will level off and be steady

Look up "peak child" for the facts that back up the idea of a stable global population.

Thread started is a suspected whiteboy. They're able to think that Thanos heart is in the right place whilst looking sideways at Kilmonger.

They should have stuck with Thanks trying to impress death. Logically what he was proposing didn't make sense. He had the ability to create more resources which would remove the issue he identified. What he proposed was only a temporary fix.

At least being an evil simp would make sense. His movie motives would cause more problems than it would solve.
Agreed. Impressing Death was definitely a better motivation than what the movie had him do. It’s understandable, from the character’s point of view.

If I followed the story right, with all six stones, he had the power to do anything he wanted. So how did killing off half the universe become his solution over… anything else? :skip:
