I've had a in-house studio since college years so I can't do wall-to-wall neighbors. Studio sessions have crazy weird hours and i would be kicked out in a heartbeat living in an apt or condo. I've been renting houses since my 20s which means sometimes I had to live "further out" but thats okay with me. there are benefits to living separated from the center.
Sometimes commuting sucks however having a yard and no surprise visitors is very peaceful.
Of course I own my house now in the hills now with an ocean view, 2 car garage, custom built double walled studio, backyard deck and a garden. we bought a foreclosure during the 2009 housing crash and fixed it up ourselves.
house is now valued over half a million and our mortgage is sub $1600.
God is great.

My rent is near $2,000 for a 1 bedroom in a high rise apartment. They’ve closed our pool/gym/common area but I still have an outdoor balcony on the 40th floor and view of the water...it’s not bad
Can still workout on it, chill and the sunsets have been dope
Whereever I go, I gotta have a good view for sunsets.

Coronavirus pandemic changed everything. People are gonna be moving out from the city in droves and living in rural areas, where they can work from home.
Gentrification Era had ended. I kept telling people that cities are too overcrowded for its own good. And a lot of those amenities like Broadway shows, bars, unique restaurants, are gonna disappear. Public transportation doesnt help things in this pandemic, either.
