I do believe Billy's story, but the fact that he left his house with a gun (that he wasn't licensed to carry) for ANY reason is what makes him deserve that sentence. Worst that would've happened if he hadn't been strapped is that he got his ass whipped. Instead, a 17 year old kid ended up dead. We all make mistakes but I don't feel sorry for this guy (Billy) at all, duke got a gun over $10?!

There is still a missing element to this story, at that point with how popular Benji was being the #1 prospect in the country and all the OG's that had his back, there was no way he's getting touched in broad daylight unless it was a set up, IMO. he has no point because he has no first hand knowledge. He saw a documentary on TV and thinks he knows more than everyone else there.

He didnt interview a single witness, done any forensic work, he hasnt done any reading of the case. I bet this is the first time dude even heard the story.


You "hood" dudes conflating what you see in movies and in video games with real life situations. nikka shyt happens all the time. Most of the time it doesnt end up in a death, but it happens.

The story does sound legit, for the inner city in the crack era. But, I'm with you, I believe the shooter's story.

I actually thought he may have been freed because of a mistrial/illegal confession. He may have been off, if he had a better lawyer.
