All y’all nikkas gonna keep buying from Amazon. Shut up :unimpressed: You didn’t want to support local businesses and brick & mortar stores. Called them obsolete. You wanted everything online, everything cheap and everything fast, quick and convenient. Amazon destroyed everybody and they’re here to stay now. This what you got :unimpressed:

Just ordered some wifi extenders from Amazon 2 days ago :russ:

It's really bad for morale when a company acquires your company and starts cutting all the nice perks your original company use to offer
My office location use to be a private business, it offered free lunch to employees. A big european company bought us out like a decade ago......and they still give us free lunch despite none of their other locations offering that perk. A decade later. Why change shyt up if it was originally working. Amazon doesn't NEED to cut these beneftis. It's just bad karma and bad PR for short term financial gains. I'd call it dumb if Bezos and Amazon weren't doing so well. Better word is probably immoral

i agree employees working <20 hours shouldn't have been offered health insurance, but i disagree with the other points.

Whole Foods could not function without their store workers. Whether the employee working is a manager or a cashier, an hour is an hour. They're both working and deserving of benefits.

Whole Foods is directly affected by the health of these workers. If their employees are sick, unable to go to the doctor, or can't afford medicine, then they can't work. Or worse, health-conscious upper-class shoppers don't want to be around a bunch of sick employees.

Lastly, as a company, you shouldn't go around making moves that go against your stated mission/values/principles. It gives customers a reason to stop supporting you because they no longer trust or respect you.

Breh I understand your sentiment but to be honest, I didn’t even know there was a such thing as companies offering health insurance to part time employees. Health insurance is expensive as fukk and I don’t see how someone working less than 20 hours a week is valuable enough to the company to offer that benefit.

As you can see by the number of people affected, most of their employees are full time so most of what you typed wouldn’t apply here.

99% chance its not going to happen you delusional weirdo... :umad:

When is enough enough? Are ppl going to wait until these cacs have horded every dollar in this country and monopolized the entire playing field? Conquered every ounce of leverage (mind you it's basically to that point already) ? :what:

Like previous OP said...they're hording wealth at the expense of everyone elses livelihood. No hate...just facts. No one needs to be as wealthy as these ppl are. There has to be some sort of cap. They've already stacked the deck 10 generations ahead on nggas. You can't afford to pay your own light bill 2 months ahead now...:mjlol:

It's only getting worse for everyone overall...nd ppl
still wanna blindly defend their right to have all this money...

Side note:

So there’s 100,000 Whole Foods employees but only 500 stores? (Article started it would only affect 2% or 2,000 employees)

That’s 200 employees per store?

:jbhmm:

Can someone explain how that works?

Corporate and truck drivers make up that much?

Surprised at the fact they even gave part time workers benefits to begin with in the first place.

This is very common with jobs up north and out west. shyt as a teenager I worked st Jewels in chicago. I only worked like 15 hours a week and had full health benefits.

Companies like Menards and Fedex also give full benefits to part time workers.

People need to stop supporting these human soul/life destroying companies. We need to start with food. Localize our food production and get these vampires off our backs and save our future children.

But but but I get next day deliver and prime movies.

Got damn to support your own destruction for discounted prices on material shyt....:wow:

The spokesperson made sure to include a reminder that Whole Foods employees can still enjoy a 20 percent discount on groceries, which, it turns out, will not save your life in the event of a medical emergency. During the course of writing this article, which took approximately 30 minutes, Bezos earned an estimated $4.5 million.
:wow: Just :wow:.
