Are people really condoning a company that almost pays no taxes to the government....cutting healthcare benefits.

They literally pimped the tax code so they would pay zero in taxes yet make 232 billion in revenue. Let us not forget the billions in tax incentives that states gave amazon to build their facilities in those states.

Why nobody upset about smaller businesses not offering any benifits to part time workers? Theyll be lucky to get a discount in smaller companies.
Because those small businesses are on the verge of closing shop due to companies like Amazon throwing their weight around to eliminate competitors.

:stopitslime:

How come whole foods was able to provide health insurance to all their workers, but the minute Amazon (and the mass amount of wealth the company has) owns them, they can no longer afford to.

Not their responsibility. It's the government's responsibility to make health care affordable. Don't be mad at greedy rich nikkas in this case

All y’all nikkas gonna keep buying from Amazon. Shut up :unimpressed: You didn’t want to support local businesses and brick & mortar stores. Called them obsolete. You wanted everything online, everything cheap and everything fast, quick and convenient. Amazon destroyed everybody and they’re here to stay now. This what you got :unimpressed:
Was waiting for someone to mention it:unimpressed:.

The article references “equitable scheduling” as one of the reasons for the decision. I assume this means they would prefer to allow more employees to have full time positions instead of people eating up smaller part time positions just to get health benefits...maybe this does help some people on the ground level
Maybe :jbhmm:.

This is very common with jobs up north and out west. shyt as a teenager I worked st Jewels in chicago. I only worked like 15 hours a week and had full health benefits.

Companies like Menards and Fedex also give full benefits to part time workers.

I don't know how old you are but the price of healthcare coverage has increased greatly over the last few decades.

It costs companies a lot more to provide health care benefits to their workers today than it did in the 90s/00s.

I just looked and found out there are still some large companies that offer healthcare to part time workers, but there's also a lot who have cut that from their benefits package.

I personally believe basic healthcare should be covered for all Americans, but at the same time, I understand why offering such an expensive benefit to part time employees is being cut by businesses until something like Medicare for All is put in place.

Has nothing to do with them being evil (like some posters have said), it just doesn't make sense to offer it from a business perspective.

It's both their fault.

These companies pay 100s of millions to influence how our government operates and get bills passed that majority of the country are against.

These same companies will then hide their hands and act like they have no blame in the state of the economy.

Both the government and these wealthy corporations share the blame.

Because conservatives favor people over markets and corporations.... Especially when we are talking healthcare right?

Like I said you sound stupid. If you smart dumb brehs weren't so gullible you would be engaged in class warfare not partisan bullshyt. Politics is the entertainment of the masses,. At this point you are just picking teams not even thinking critically. "Blah blah liberals" :bryan:

neoliberalism has nothing to do with liberals. It's an economic theory that both parties have been following for decades.

:unimpressed:

Dudes in this thread dont know what neoliberalism is...

Not understand the definition of classical liberalism brehs

Get in your feelings about the use of a term you dont even understand brehs

Very true. Thats a moral opinion tho. Legal opinion says it's not their responsibility to make it affordable. They just have to make it available. Sucks but that's america
