That dark period of the NBA where everyone wanted “my own team” everyone wanted to be like Mike just jacking up shots … a few 2 man teams broke up 👀

T-Mac was just an all star caliber player. I don’t think he would’ve won a ring. He wasn’t A.I. or Kobe. Those two had the push to really go above and beyond even though Iverson never won one. But he has a bigger chance to win.
Give T-Mac prime Shaq and he would have "had the push to really go above and beyond" too

That’s what T-Mac said.
Replace Marino with Joe Montana or Steve Young…he would have a Super Bowl
Basketball fans will never grasp the concept that winning titles is a team accomplishment.

The year that Wilt Chamberlain averaged 50 points and 26 rebounds for the season, he did not win the championship.

Even if 1 player can make a larger impact in basketball compared to 1 football player on a roster of 53 guys, it doesn’t mean 1 basketball player is responsible for a championship.

He went to Orlando to be with Duncan and Grant Hill. Nobody under 30 needs to be talking about 2000 lmao
Let’s ask the internet for some facts or words from the source.

He elected to join the Magic in part because he disliked his secondary role playing behind Vince Carter,[22] in part so that he could return home to Florida, and in part to play with their other newly acquired free agent, Grant Hill.[23]

"Playing behind a superstar in Vince Carter last year, it wasn't my turn," said McGrady, who left Toronto to join the Magic as a free agent before this season. "I believe I could have done some of the things I did this year last year, but I was held back. So, I brought my talent to Orlando and exploited it here."

I said on another thread NBA hot take culture has crept to the NFL.

QB Wins is a big deal now
Playoff wins are a big deal for QBs now
Super Bowl appearances are a big deal for QBs now

In the past it was a team accomplishment.

For elite QBs, nobody gave a fukk about playoff wins and Super Bowl appearances.
For elite QBs, it was ALL about # of Super Bowl WINS.

I hear more about Burrow's/Bengals Super Bowl appearance than Stafford's/Rams Super Bowl WIN.

Tracy McGrady is one of the most overrated players of this past generation. People loved his highlights and high scoring stats, but he never put it together in a winning way. No reason a “HOF” can never get out of the first round ever as an active player. It was always disrespectful to put him on Bean’s level.
Bean put him on that level

No, he would not have, It's not who he is. Kobe always wanted to prove he was the best. That's not what drives T-Mac. Would T-Mac and Shaq have won titles? Possiby. Would Shaq become jealous of T-Mac and sabotage his career? Very likely. And T-Mac doesn't have a fighter spirit, he would have folded.

This isn't exactly true. Montana was the GOAT based on winning. Manning, Elways were considered great regular seasons QB who couldn't win shiit.

But to be fair football has had to pivot many times over the year. Brutality used to be a selling point. They've had to eliminate the brutality

PG with a better media team, and that's disrespectful to PG IMO.

Kobe the same guy that "quit" in multiple games by refusing to shoot because he was petty. What was he trying to prove in those games ?
