That Lupe response track to Kendrick is horrible

I'm going through the SLR2 thread and I notice that a few of the Lupe stans were complaining that dudes weren't appreciating the "lyricism". First...the "lyricism" on that shyt is far from awe inspiring. And second...a potent diss/response track doesn't have to be super lyrical. Look at Ether, No vaseline, The bytch in Yoo, Real Compton City G's, TakeOver, T-Shirt and Buttons...none of them were what you would call super lyrical. They were, and are, potent and dope because they hit it's intended target with scathing fire. Truth. This Lupe shyt is fukking basura.

Yea I was gonna say, Kendrick is looking to play a game of lyrical horse, not make goofy spiteful diss records

But even in that regard, SLR II fell short.

Lupe is so lyrical, sometimes he is too lyrical for his own good. Or he gets lost in his metaphors and shyt to the point that the songs make no sense (one of my big gripes with 'The Cool'). SLR 1 was PERFECT... everything was balanced.

I heard that American Trap bullsh!t and started writing his eulogy...Lupe at this level lyrically is out of Kendrick's depth, but it'd be actually interesting to see him try...I'd get more geeked about that than how people are all going because Kendrick promised to "murder" ASAP fukking Rocky the next time they're on a track...after already having done multiple songs with him and not doing so

But people ain't REALLY about lyrics and "competition though"...as much as they're about namedropping, dikkriding, and overhyping[

Basically...people got Dot's d!ck so far down their throat, everybody should just go ahead and stop with the responses...cause if SLR2 is a "horrible" response to somebody challenging the world to step up lyrics, then it's not even a legitimate challenge...it's just an exercise in d!ckriding at this point...everybody should save their efforts and keep it moving...the hype is way past critical mass

I did. Wether rightfully or not, I did. I did so because Kendrick basically said he was better than you and you'e supposed to come with something potent. Wether it be a diss or not, it should have been POTENT. And it wasn't. His raps were underwhelming and as an overall track it was boring.
