Monolith have nothing to do with them anymore and I doubt Square Enix would want to touch that game again.

I'm not interested in soap operas so you won't find me in threads on a message forum shytting on them. You aren't interested in JRPGs yet you put forth the effort to seek out threads on them and speak on them.
I don't like MLB or NHL games. You won't see me in a thread about them. If people like those games more power to them. It's pretty sad to see a person on a discussion forum in a thread about something they don't like bytching about it. Normal people don't waste their time with shyt they don't like.so what?
the jrpg or "anime avatar" community is a straight-up threat to my overall gaming experience.
xenosaga was probably the worst game I ever played in my entire life. I pre-ordered that game because I was huge xenogears fan. This piece of trash "game" or interactive movie is heralded as the second coming by YOU and your anime avatar buddies. That was more than ten years ago, and the trend just continued on.
i saw trailer for ff13, and im like What has genre turned into?
it's not an analog to soap operas, it's more like summer blockbusters. If garbage like transformers continues to make money, then the studios will just keep putting out garbage. Somebody has to speak if only in the name of quality.

Your own personal taste have nothing to do with quality. Get over yourself, the world doesn't revolve around you and what you like. Other people like different shyt than you and that's fine.
JRPGs never appealed to everyone. They were mostly always infused with anime. They were always linear as well. JRPGs are niche titles and have always been so. Back in the day many of them didn't even get localized outside Japan.nope
a genre, that used to appeal to everyone
If anything turned based gameplay was driven by technological limitations. When the technology was no longer a barrier most developers dropped that style gameplay.Well only one of those is turned based like all the classic JRPGs. I'm looking forward to the games, but from where I stand JRPGs as they used to be defined are still dead.
Ni no kuni the only one keeping the hope alive![]()
Well that's what defines JRPG for me.If anything turned based gameplay was driven by technological limitations. When the technology was no longer a barrier most developers dropped that style gameplay.
I know, right. Maybe I'll finally be able to let my ps1 and ps2's gather some dust.It feels great man. It feels like the good ole PS1-PS2 days again.
im happy for yall.
we just need platformers and hack n slash to come back (dmc, ninja gaiden, GoW, etc)
