I'll join the SEC hate parade...with a caveat...Florida is good...and can be really good

they're the only team in the country ranked in the top ten in offensive and defensive efficiency.

the rest of that league is just frustrating as hell to watch with my alma mater leading the way...Mizzou has top tier talent...but they only play like it about 50% of the time...the other 50% of the time they play like an honorary member of the SWAC...and basically every other team in the league is just a mercurial...looking good one game and god awful the next week...so I think the SEC is properly rated...mediocre as hell.

actually St. Louis is a catholic school.

and they will likely be in the Big East's "west" division with Creighton, Butler, Xavier, Marquette, DePaul.

I just wish they'd announce this officially...from what I hear it's all done...just needs to be announced.

i didnt know that about st louis.

but dont they need 12 teams in order to have divisions? i have the catholic 7, butler, xavier, creighton and st louis makes 11. whos missing?

that conference.:whew:

good point.

can we at least agree that the pure talent-level of the sec is pretty good?:manny:

watch them have 2 or 3 teams go deeps in the tourney......if they cant get that many in.

End of the first half of this Big Ten quarterfinal:

#6 Michigan - 20
#22 Wisconsin - 17

lookin like a fukkin football game score :snoop:

Wisconsin just shot 17% in the first half...I think Bo Ryan wishes they would get rid of shot clocks so he could run the four corners.

I've heard like 5 or 6 different teams floated for that 12th team...I think that's why St. Louis is on the one year delay...they want that extra year to really look hard at number 12

And I'll agree from a talent standpoint there are some quality players in the SEC

and I'll agree they COULD get some teams make a deep run...but it's just as likely that they have everyone lose in round one...because there's simply no rhyme or reason to these teams and their performances

the entire conference is on the damn bubble because Mizzou and Florida can't win road games...seriously...those are the only two schools that did anything of note in the non-conf...and they are basically every bubble school's "quality win"...and a home win against Mizzou this year almost shouldn't be considered quality...we lost to A&M and LSU on the road...it was disgusting.

I almost just want Mizzou to lose in round one, so Flip Pressey doesn't give me a heart attack.

i think Dayton will be the 12th member which would make Butler the only non-catholic school in the conference

For some reason I thought Butler was catholic...I know they are a small private school like the rest of the members

I've also heard VCU's name floated out there too as a non-catholic school add...plus it would give them another eastern school...also heard a rumor of George Mason

The craziest rumor I heard was that this is the league Notre Dame's wanted to be in forever...a league for all their sports except football...and to be with a majority catholic school membership base...it would be a really nice fit for them...but they'd have to find a way to break their ACC deal...and that seems far fetched...but I wouldn't put anything past Notre Dame...they seem to play by different rules.
