I was a big Soriano fan don't get me wrong, but Soriano's 35 years old. It's not like he was primed to take over for a long time. From Joba to Soriano, the Yankees seemed so paranoid when Mo looked like he was falling off, they had replacements set up for him but he kept going.

I just don't get why the Yankees didn't get that paranoid when Jeter started breaking down (other than drafting Cito Culver)

they coulda got 3 years outta soriano and still gobbled up these random set up guys and got Betances in order too. The days of having 2 lights out pitchers + mariano alongside crazy power hitters just arent here anymore. Tex is inconsistent AF, ARod is a giant question mark, dumb ass Cano left, and even tho he was a strikeout machine the Yanks didn't want Grandy. Gonna be interesting to see what this team looks like in 2015, which might just be a clone of 2014 with ARod as the sideshow.

they coulda got 3 years outta soriano and still gobbled up these random set up guys and got Betances in order too. hindsight 20/20, Soriano woulda drove everyone nuts as he's doing/did in Washington.

Cano aside (and he took $70 mil more than we offered), we haven't been burned by the guys we let go other than MAYBE Martin and he re-up'd for some crazy money just now.

I coulda rocked with 2015 being a semi-rebuild year but it doesn't look that way. I still hope Refsnyder gets 2B in 2015 with Jagielo up in 2016 (hopefully Austin and Gary Sanchez are ready by then too)

Hal and Hank don't know shyt about a rebuilding year so expect some fukkery at these meetings after the White Sox do their thing. But here's to hoping that dudes are healthy (CC, Tex, ARod, Tanaka) and the games are watchable. I literally only went to 2 games this past season and one of them was opening day. I couldn't get into the overkill Jeter farewell shyt and it literally overshadowed Tanaka.
