Im not 100% sure how it works with baseball and its unwritten rules, but I dont think stealing signs is illegal per se
the solution is to switch it up if you think signs are being stolen.

Again I probably would've left him in too at the time, but when a team figures you out regardless if they were stealing signs or not you gotta change something up. Plus, Carpenter seems to be Kershaws kyrptonite in playoffs.
