I thought if a team claimed him you have 2 days to work out a trade. The bad teams have no reason to claim him, the white sox will probably keep him so they can get the compensatory pick tho

Werth is done. He is a defensive liability and is 36. I hope he goes to the DR and gets some Bollee in his system this offseason because I dont see it for cuz.

Ryan Zimmerman has not been good in about 3 years, and has only had one elite season. He is also playing first base but does not have first base power. His value was that he was a great hitting 3rd baseman with gold glove defense. Now he an average power first baseman with decent defending. He done.

Werth has always had great walk rates(even this year), it's just that his BABIP is unusually low. I'm not saying he'll be a 5 WAR player at 37, but a .340 OBP/.420 SLG guy.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Dave Dombrowski

Don't understand the love for this guy... Why are people tripping over themselves to get him?

His track record is really not that impressive...

That being said, there's no way cherington and farrell should be with the Red Sox organization once October hits.
We had that insane lightning in a bottle championship year but other than that, we've been at the bottom three of the last four years with very unlikable teams.

A team should claim him with legit interest, no point in he bottom teams trading prospects for a one month rental.

No one will trade enough to make the ChiSox give up the draft pick they'll get when he leaves

He's overrated and it took him 22 years as a GM before one of his teams won a division. He was horrendous at developing talent in Detroit, hung onto Leyland too long, ignored the bullpen for nearly a decade, had a yearly advantage of around $50 million over the rest of the AL Central and hired Brad Ausmus.

That being said, he'd be an upgrade over what Boston currently has, but the way the media fawns over this guy is nauseating. This guy didn't build the Big Red Machine, A's of the early 70s, 90s Yankees or even the recent Giants. It makes no sense why Dombrowski is getting praised like he is with NO mention of the MASSIVE payroll advantage he enjoyed over the rest of the AL Central.

Another solid outing from the Price trade. 6 IP with only 1 ER for Matt Boyd against the Royals. :leon:
