Californ-i-a by way of BK
You basically have your starting lineup of hitters for the next ten years anyways why does it matter?
This is sports. Anything can happen. Half those dudes may never turn into anything. Or have a couple good years then fall off. I would never think I built a team for longer than 2-3 years. Thinking you have a team built for 10 years is crazy. That never works out like that. In any sport

He didn't lose the castro trade breh. Bothcastro and warren have negative wars but moving Castro freed up a spot for Zobrist

Outside april-mid may warren been trash and has been up and down in the minors the last month he may be going back to the yankees so castro was given away for nothing to make room for a 35 year old who's been slumping for 2 months now.

I don't care about losing torres like that he's in single a and beaz and russell will be blocking him for the next 5 years. It's giving him up for a rental when they could get more value like a younger starter is my issue.Them shortsighted trades aint how the cubs get down

Don't blame the Cubs you gotta go for it now at the same time they didn't ruin their future

Sure on paper they should contend for awhile but you never know. That starting pitching is flimsy and if Arrieta leaves in a year for FA you really are light on pitching. Don't blame them for going all in to win now
