I think Stanton is also drawing a line in the sand to the new ownership. That contract is guaranteed. If they want to piss away the rest of the roster to punish Stanton, he can go through the motions and that money isn't going anywhere.

that 10 + year contract plus and opt in and all that money is just the complete opposite of where we been going plus we really are good on our hitting.
