I bangs with Eloy and now Aquino out here mashing.
My fear with Eloy is that if he doesn't become a better hitter he'll turn into Wily Mo Pena, a guy who could hit 500 foot shots with his eyes closed but little else.
He’s a 22 year old rookie, overall I’m happy with what I’ve seen at the plate. Biggest issue with him is that he looks like he doesn’t belong in the OF at all. He’s gonna crank out 35 HR+ seasons with ease. I’ve seen him work the whole field at the plate to be bullish on what he can long term. I expect a nice jump next season for him.
Same but that’s a part of what makes the Astros good at the plate. They concentrate mostly on pitch recognition and not swinging at anything outside the zone. It makes pitchers work back into counts or show a favorable pitch that we rarely miss on.
Who was in here saying Greinke looked worse? Cause I just witnessed a shutout with Zacks stuff looking excellent. When his curve slider is working he gets really hard to hit especially when he mixes in the off corner change up that keeps hitters off balance.

Why not next season? Alvarez is the new David Ortiz for the most part, he is def a fish out of water when he’s in the field and might be a hindrance should we get to the World Series.
Sold one of my 4 NL champ rings for $20 and just now flipped that for a World Series authentic replica ring
Missed out on it last season because reasons but it turned out cheaper to wait than go to the crappy matchup we had for that promotional game anyways
