Think about the type of season a pitcher has to put up to win MVP while playing only one side of the ball and then double that level of impact. That's basically what a DH needs to do to win MVP now

In regards to Cruz in particular, him being such a late bloomer has always made underrated. Definitely one of the top 10 straight sluggers of the last 10-15 years

I wonder where he ends up. Market seems like it's going to be thin, unless we see some unexpected firings/quits.

Would SD interest him enough? SF? NYM, maybe Philly, but for w/e reason they seem to like Gabe.

I've always thought DC would be an ideal fit, both the team and the town. But they're not getting rid of a guy who's taking them to the postseason (and for what I predict will be a long run). Besides, I doubt he'd want to come in and follow his protege who'd have just gotten got the ax there.
