They're really gonna trade one of the absolute best players in baseball who's about to enter his prime because Dombrowski gave Price, Sale and Eovaldi like $80 million a year between the three of them.
That is a very fair offer but Boras will probably make him hold out for a higher annual salary than Machado.

If JD walks and they don't want to pay Mookie, they just have to go all-in on a rebuild because they'll be a mess. Garbage pitching and they'd only have 2-3 bats worth mentioning: Xander, Devers and hope Benintendi figures it out.

White Sox on the come up but they're not a Mookie Betts away from a pennant next season, which is all anybody is getting him for. If/when he gets dealt he should be going to a team going all in for a title right now.

If we get Kopech/Rodon healthy to start the season and have Robert & Madrigal on the roster day one, adding Mookie and a league average DH I don’t see why we couldn’t win our division, or at least be right there in the mix. Which is all you can really ask for. Again, I don’t expect it to happen, I’m just curious what the trade offer would actually look like. Mookie is only 27(as of next week), even if we don’t win the division next season, we certainly should have our eyes set on winning it in 2021 when his new deal would begin
White Sox need to get a RF regardless. I could see them making a 2 year deal with someone like Kole Calhoun as a stopgap and making a run at JD Martinez to solidify DH. That would be realistic. Add in some pitching and that team should be good enough next season to contend with the Twins/Indians
