The bust rate in baseball is very high
I know this but he was an epic bust
If I remember correctly it was arm injuries, not stuff
He blames having to pitch every 4 days at single A ball ruining his career. I just think he doesn’t have the mental stuff to be “the guy”. God damn millennials

They were able to flip him to Philly for Ken Giles. So even though Appel was a bust he still added some value to their championship squad’s run.
Did you watch the playoffs? Giles nearly lost us critical games AND the chip
He was “ok” during the regular season but he was on some Brad Lidge shyt when the lights turned on in October
He was literally the only player that got boo’d at city hall during the post parade championship celebration

I rather have Brad pitching out the pen. He's better suited. Hopefully James gets his shyt together and can slide in that 5th spot. Either way they just holding it down till Whitley is ready.
